We are the Maths Society, a student society dedicated to bringing the joy and knowledge of the world of maths beyond the classroom to those with a love of maths or looking to find it, through projects developed by our community. These projects explore this world through extracurricular challenges and histories in maths.
We do not aim to be a definitive guide on all of mathematics — we just hope that you can take a little ‘joy and knowledge’ from our easy to understand Guides, and Notebook, developed from a student perspective. Our hope is that people of all ages, abilities and views on maths can have fun learning not only about theorems and rules, but their proofs, why they are important, and their history. With A-level Mathematics now by far the most popular subject at the Advanced Level, it is the perfect time to indulge in a little extracurricular maths!
